The following article was written and submitted to me by my twin brother, Thomas M. Powers. He has be able to establish in a few words the full scope of the destruction that America is facing. I offer kudos to this great Patriot!! Thank you for your service Tom!!
Here I sit, it’s Sunday morning, the clock is chiming 7:00 A.M. The sun is just beginning to brighten the sky, as the crisp, cool air from our first truly Autumn evening is gently blowing in the window. As I sip on a cup of freshly brewed coffee in the stillness of the moment and contemplate the events of the upcoming day–singing in church, laundry, chores and preparing for the upcoming work week–I am inspired to write down the thoughts that are suddenly racing through my head regarding the state of our country today, as if the Lord himself has given me an assignment to do so.
Before I begin, let me just state for the record that I am not a scholar by any stretch of the imagination, just an average American who grew up in a big family of all boys, with a blue-collar father, stay-at-home mother, and a practical and patriotic sense of what it meant to live within the confines of the Constitution of the United States of America. We were not rich, in fact, as a large family we struggled most of the time to make ends meet. Being 4th in line meant that I had to wear “hand-me-down” clothes from 3 brothers before me. We didn’t have a big fancy house with a swimming pool (the creek in the back yard WAS our swimming pool), we didn’t have the nice clothes, or best shoes, or any of the things the other kids in school had. Many would say that we were not the envy of anyone we knew. In retrospect, I would not have changed my upbringing one bit, for what it taught me was self-reliance, contentment, how to interact with others and resolve differences, honesty, integrity, and to continue to work hard for what I wanted and to never give up. For these things, I salute you Mother and Dad!
As we face a most disturbing societal trend in America, it is her very fiber that is being torn apart, her institutions of law and justice that have been infiltrated, her centers for higher education that are being poisoned and corrupted, and her founding principles that are being rendered obsolete by a liberal-progressive movement that seeks to remove the Divine Inspiration from which our great country was founded. America’s flame of freedom and justice is slowly and systematically being extinguished by those who only seek wealth, power, and One World Order. Every day, our liberty is whittled away at in such a way that the perpetrators hope the citizenry won’t notice, until it is too late. America, it is time to wake up, embrace our founding principles, purge our government of the interlopers that seek to destroy us, and reclaim the Divine rights that were bestowed upon us by our Creator.
